This series of monotypes Solitary Moments is a heartbreaking window through which Solitary Human Forms, the title of this important series of prints, express a modern day crisis of loneliness and despair.
It is also about disconnection, loss, and the mourning of a viable existence that once was.
HOPE—remains— the last thing to die. Faith lingers for a meaningful
existence, imagining the return of a life worth living.
Solitary Human Forms
Exiled and Homeless
and inwardly Vulnerable.
Poised and clothes-less
in a time-less place
where space envelopes
and numbs the sight,
neither imposing, nor responding
to sound-less pleas of melting tears.
The wall unshakable freezes time,
yet there is glimmer of hope as a numinous ray of light
enters to warm a forlorn soul.
it is a blessed moment.
The heart beats fast to the glow of a new spirit
marking the beginning of healing, becoming, be-ing, and joy
